In the wake of Hurricane Irma, many in our community are struggling to meet basic needs.  M-DCPS, in collaboration with Feeding South Florida Food Bank, will distribute 2,000 to 3,000 ready-to-eat breakfast packs and meals-ready-to-eat (MRE’s) at each site, while supplies last. An MRE is a self-contained, individual, high caloric intake field ration in lightweight packaging for use in field conditions where organized food facilities are not available.  Media is encouraged to attend the event at Frederick Douglass Elementary School.
