Your education or your child’s education is your choice. Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is out to let you know what our schools have to offer, why people love to work for the District, and why community partners and parents choose to get involved in our schools. Look out for the iChoose M-DCPS campaign!
Every Miami-Dade public school has something unique that can benefit your child. From schools that take learning beyond the classroom and into nature by working on their food forests, to schools that offer coding and robotics beginning in the elementary grades, M-DCPS ensures our students learn skills and gain qualities that will help them become global citizens.
Our employees join our team because they are ready to help inspire, transform and leave a positive mark in the lives of children. Tanisha Cidel is a drama teacher at Norland Middle School. Believing that her students can reach their dreams if they work hard for them, Cidel helped two of her drama class students star in the critically-acclaimed movie “Moonlight,” which has won multiple awards and received nominations for many more, including eight Academy Awards. Her students are discovering their passion, and she is the magic wand that guides them.
Community partners and parents understand that the future of our community depends on the quality of education that our children receive. Initiatives like “Principal Today” bring our community leaders together to experience firsthand the wonderful things that happen in our schools. Our PTAs work alongside our schools to make every child’s potential a reality by empowering families and our community to advocate for all children. They choose to join us because they believe in our mission of giving our students the world.
So next time you hear about iChoose M-DCPS, understand that it is not just a marketing campaign, it’s us letting you know that the possibilities are endless when you choose M-DCPS.
