Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is requesting quotes from subcontractors to assist with FEMA debris removal services. The District already has approved prime contractors, however, additional subcontractors are needed to accomplish the following tasks:

Vegetative Collection – Includes gathering, collection and removal of all storm-generated vegetative debris from assigned school sites, grounds and/or right-of-way areas at each school site, and have it loaded, hauled to and disposed of at the approved Miami-Dade County designated disposal site.

Construction & Demolition Collection – Includes gathering, collection and removal of all construction and demolition debris from assigned school sites, grounds and/or right-of-way areas at each school site, and have it loaded, hauled to and disposed of at the approved Miami-Dade County designated disposal site.

Removal of Dangerous Hazardous Hanging Limbs (Hangers) – Includes the removal of hanging or partially broken limbs from trees at each school site, as directed by M-DCPS or the authorized monitor. All cuts and pruning are to be completed in accordance with National Arborist standards as outlined in the specifications. The cost of associated debris removal, loading and hauling to the approved county disposal site is included. Hangers only will be removed if greater than 2” in diameter at the point of the break.

Leaners - removal of partially uprooted or split trees – Includes the removal of partially uprooted or split trees from the school sites, locations or right-of-way areas and hauling away. All cuts and pruning are to be completed in accordance with National Arborist standards as outlined in the specifications. Cost of debris loading, removal and hauling to the approved Dade County disposal site is included in this line item.
