Miami-Dade Public Schools, Facilities to Close November 26-27 in Observance of Thanksgiving

All Miami-Dade County public schools, and Region and District offices will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2020, in observance of Thanksgiving. All sites will reopen and online learning will resume on Monday, November 30.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and recess, student meal distributions for next week will take place on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, from 4-5:30 p.m.  There will be no meal distributions on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Wednesday, November 25 is a teacher planning day. There will be no school for students, either at the schoolhouse or through My School Online that day.

As Miami-Dade County Public Schools continues to prioritize the health and wellbeing of its stakeholders, the District urges all employees, students and families to enjoy the holiday while also following the CDC’s guidelines for holidays and small gatherings during this recess.
