'AMERICAN VALUES' AWARDS

Six Miami-Dade public school employees have received "American Values" awards from the Green Family Foundation.

The recipients were Leslie H. Cooper, teacher, Richmond Heights Middle School; Beth Rosenthal Davis, teacher, Jack D. Gordon Elementary School; Earl Davis, Intergroup Relations Specialist, Multicultural Programs; C. Melanie Green, teacher, Centennial Middle School; Connie McKinney, Community Involvement Specialist, Phillis Wheatley Elementary School; and Sharon Sbrissa, magnet lead teacher, Lillie C. Evans Elementary School.

The awards were established by the Green Family Foundation and United Way to recognize public service employees for exceptional volunteer service. Each of the recipients received $5,000 from the foundation.
