A ceremony dedicating a new Primary Learning Center (PLC) at 16251 S.W. 72 St., part of Bowman F. Ashe Elementary School, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Mar. 26.

The 10-classroom PLC, located about 1.5 miles from the main campus, opened for students at the beginning of the 1998-99 school year. The facility currently serves about 200 prekindergarten and kindergarten students.

School officials and business and community leaders will participate in the ceremony. The construction project is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools' long-term building and renovation program.
