George T. Baker Aviation School, 3275 N.W. 42 Ave., will hold an
aviation fair for students in grades 8-12, their parents, and anyone
interested in an aviation career on Saturday, Mar. 4, from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m.
Workshops, demonstrations, and tours will be conducted by teachers,
students, and industry personnel. A special lecture will introduce
visitors to the rich history of the airplanes located at the school.
Students who are interested in attending the school will be provided
with entrance requirements as well as information about career
opportunities.
Baker Aviation began training students 57 years ago and currently
enrolls more than 1,300 adult and high school students. Recognized
nationally with a 95 percent placement rate for its graduates, Baker
Aviation is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and
accredited by the Council of Occupational Education.
