Miami-Dade County Public Schools honored its corporate and community partners at the 22nd annual Dade Partners recognition ceremony on March 14. The winners were honored for their exemplary partnerships with schools and students:

Small Profit Company, David M. Preble, D.D.S., J.D. for partnership with Campbell Drive Middle School.
Mid-Range Profit Company, two winners: Lennar Homes, Inc. for partnership with William H. Turner Technical Arts High School, and City of West Miami for partnership with Sylvania Heights Elementary School.
Large Profit Company, American Honda Motor Company, Inc. for partnership with Robert Morgan Vocational Technical School.
Non-profit, Take Stock in Children.
Joint Venture, Cool School of Dade County and Miami Beach Police Department for partnership with Fienberg/Fisher Elementary School.
County Wide, Hands in Action for partnership with Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary School.
Regional, Aventura Marketing Council, for partnership with Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School and Highland Oaks Middle School.
Newcomer, The Miami Heat for partnership with Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary School.
Community Leader, Ms. Laura Sosa for partnership with Hammocks Middle School.
Partnership School, Robert Morgan Vocational Technical School for partnership with David M. Preble, D.D.S., J.D.

Each winning partnership is an exceptional story of thoughtfulness and concern for our public schools and the children who attend them. The school system has one of the largest and most renowned business partnership programs in the country. Currently more than 3,000 business partnerships provide $8 million in in-kind contributions to M-DCPS. Businesses become Dade Partners by adopting a school, donating personnel and financial resources, or participating in special events and projects requiring specialized expertise.
