TRAGEDY IN LITTLETON, COLORADO
CONTACT: Dr. Henry C. Fraind

April 21, 1999
In observance of the tragedy that occurred yesterday at Columbine
High School in Littleton, Colorado, M-DCPS students and employees
were encouraged by Superintendent of Schools Roger C. Cuevas to pause
for a moment of silence today to reflect about this terrible loss. He
suggested that schools replicate last week's STOP DAY activity where
students were encouraged to stop for 30 seconds to reflect on those
who have suffered from violence and to resolve to do something to
make their schools, neighborhoods, and homes safe.
