PRINCIPALS TO BE HONORED AT STATE EDUCATION CONFERENCE

Three Miami-Dade County public school principals will be honored at the Florida Association of School Administrators 26th Annual Summer Conference & Exposition to be held at the Renaissance Orlando Resort in Orlando, June 25-27.

Janet Hupp of Palmetto Senior High School, Louise Harms of North Twin Lakes Elementary School and Mona Bethel Jackson of Richmond Heights Middle School were selected to be honored for their outstanding leadership. Hupp is Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Principal of the Year; Harms and Jackson were Principal of the Year finalists.

Keynote speaker for the conference is Dr. Rod Paige, U.S. Secretary of Education, who will speak on "Education Policy Initiatives: A National, State, and Local Perspective."
