SUPERINTENDENT STIERHEIM TO PARTICIPATE IN TELEVISED TOWN HALL MEETING

Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Merrett R. Stierheim will participate in a live, televised town hall meeting that will air on CBS4 from 7 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.

The meeting, titled "Crisis in the Classroom," will explore solutions to a predicted teacher shortage and is sponsored by The Education Fund and Washington Mutual. Other scheduled panelists include Florida Commissioner of Education Jim Horne, education expert Barnett Berry and Broward Schools Superintendent Frank Till. The program will be hosted by CBS4 anchors Maggie and Eliott Rodriguez and Miami Herald columnist Robert Steinback.
