FRANK C. MARTIN ELEMENTARY NAMED NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL

Frank C. Martin Elementary School was named Miami-Dade County's only 2004 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Twelve Florida schools received the honor out of more than 250 nationwide.

The school was eligible for the award due to its top 10 percent ranking on state tests. The school will be recognized at events this November in Washington, D.C.

Frank C. Martin was named a 2003 School of Excellence by the Magnet Schools of America for its International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
