M-DCPS CELEBRATES BLUE RIBBON MONTH
April 6, 2004
To raise awareness of child abuse and neglect, Miami-Dade
County Public Schools and other local agencies will
commemorate Blue Ribbon Month during April. M-DCPS will
participate in the following activities:
April 6:
Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, public schools officials and
others will participate in an event at Holmes Elementary
School, 1175 N.W. 67 St., at 10 a.m.
April
16: Sylvania Heights Elementary School will host a
special program for kids, with guest speaker Commissioner
Rebeca Sosa at 8:30 a.m. The school is located at 5901
S.W. 16 St.
April
22: NBC-6 News anchor Jackie Nespral, public schools
officials and others will participate in a 9 a.m. event
at William Turner Technical High School, 10151 N.W. 19
Ave. At 11 a.m., Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas
will give a presentation at an assembly at Skyway
Elementary School, 4555 N.W. 206 Terr.
