MARC BUONICONTI TO SPEAK AT MERRICK EDUCATIONAL CENTER'S SPRING CONFERENCE

Marc Buoniconti, spokesperson for the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, will be the keynote luncheon speaker at Merrick Educational Center's annual Spring Conference on Saturday, March 20 at the center, 39 Zamora Ave., Coral Gables.

The daylong conference, which starts at 10 a.m., will feature workshops for parents of medically fragile and cognitively impaired students served by the school.

Merrick Educational Center is an exceptional student education school. In addition to a school-based program for profoundly mentally handicapped students, the center provides an instructional program for students who are homebound or hospitalized.
