DASH EDUCATOR NAMED TOP TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

The Florida Association for Computers in Education (F.A.C.E.) has named Design & Architecture Senior High School (DASH) teacher Deb Singer the State Technology Using Teacher of the Year.

Singer directs the Apple Web Design Academy at the school. As part of the curriculum, the Academy provides free web and design services to non-profit organizations. In the past two years, over $200,000 worth of services have been provided on a local, state and national level.

"Deb Singer not only represents the finest in technology using educators, she represents the finest in educators who pioneer and promote technology. From curriculum development to classroom innovation, she is recognized both nationally and internationally," said F.A.C.E. regional president Rick Reece.

Singer developed the state's original Emergent Computer Technologies and Visual Computer Modeling courses that served as a model for the country. She is also a national lecturer and trainer in using computer technology design in the classroom.
