MIAMI EDISON MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK'S ELECTRONIC FIELD TRIP

May 17, 2004

Students at Miami Edison Middle School will participate in Yellowstone National Park's new electronic science field trip at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, at the school, 6101 N.W. Second Ave.

Miami Edison Middle School is one of two Florida schools participating in Yellowstone National Park's To Eat or Be Eaten, an electronic field trip that will team students with a special sleuthing team at the park to solve the mystery of missing elk through an interactive website that uses streaming video, audio, animations and scripted dialogue. The students will learn about scientific research, conservation and endangered-species protection and will complete assignments based on their experience. The field trip can be accessed at
www.windowsintowonderland.org.

Approximately 200 students in grades six to eight will participate in four field trip sessions. Media are welcome and invited to participate. The final two sessions begin at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively. Related pictures of Yellowstone National Park can be obtained at
