PARENTS ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER STUDENTS

County Public Schools registration for the 2004-2005 school
year is now open, and parents are encouraged to register
their children as early as possible.a
"The first days of school are very important ones, and we
want children to be registered and ready to start learning
on the first day of what will be a busy, productive year,"
said Schools Superintendent Rudolph F. Crew.
Students who are new to the district must be registered by
their parents or legal guardians. They must provide a
student health examination report, certificate of
immunization, proof of age, proof of address and Disclosure
at Time of Registration form.
Children who will be five on or before Sept. 1, 2004 are
eligible to register for kindergarten.
Parents should visit their local school to register their
children. For help in identifying the school their children
should attend, parents may call Yvette Senior-Stewart at
305-883-5323 or visit www.dadeschools.net.
