March 25, 2004

Miami-Dade County Public Schools' HIV/AIDS Education Program will host its 5th Annual HIV/AIDS Youth Leadership Summit at the Radisson Hotel-Miami, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., on Tuesday, April 20 from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The purpose of the summit is to increase the awareness and expertise of our youth leaders and assist them in becoming peer educators in HIV prevention. It will feature Dr. Marilyn Volker, sexologist; Dr. Cheryl Holder, medical director of North Dade Health Center; Luis Penelas, HIV/AIDS activist; and Thomas Spann, HIV/AIDS program coordinator for the American Red Cross.
