LOCAL INSURANCE AGENTS MAKE LARGE INVESTMENT IN M-DCPS INVEST PROGRAM

Miami-Dade County public school students will learn more about the insurance business thanks to a $4,000 donation from Progressive Insurance that was arranged by the Independent Insurance Agents of Miami-Dade County. The donation will help purchase books and instructional materials for the school system's Invest Program, which teaches students about the insurance industry and automobile insurance coverages. The program has been a part of the district's business education program for more than 30 years.

Local insurance agents will demonstrate the Invest Program to potential instructors and students at the district's SCHOOL DISCOVERY SHOWCASE, Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition's Arnold Hall, Coral Way and S.W. 112 Ave. The annual showcase gives students and their families an opportunity to explore the many choices the school system offers to help students prepare for future employment and higher education. The Independent Insurance Agents of Miami-Dade County is a showcase sponsor.
