NEW WORLD SCHOOL OF THE ARTS STUDENT TO BE SURPRISED WITH AWARD

A senior at New World School of the Arts will be surprised with a first-ever $10,000 national award in visual arts from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28 at the Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave.

The winner was selected from 20 finalists who participated in the visual arts component of ARTS Week last January. The 20 finalists were chosen from 1,409 national applicants during the final judging phase of the NFAA Arts Recognition and Talent Search (ARTS) program.
