M-DCPS TO COMMEMORATE SEPTEMBER 11

Miami-Dade County Public Schools will commemorate the tragedy of September 11, 2001, with a 10 a.m. remembrance ceremony on Friday, September 10, at the School Board Administration Building (SBAB), 1450 N.E. Second Ave.

Students from North Miami, Dr. Michael M. Krop, Miami Killian, and Coral Reef senior high schools will participate in the ceremony, which will include a presentation of flags from the 50 states, individual perspectives and a rendition of Taps. School Board Vice Chair Robert B. Ingram and Superintendent of Schools Rudolph F. Crew will share remarks.

The ceremony will be held at the SBAB flagpole near the Second Avenue entrance or in the auditorium in case of inclement weather. For additional information, contact the Office of Public Relations at 305-995-1126.
