POINCIANA PARK ELEMENTARY CURRICULUM FOCUSES ON MEDICAL
SCIENCES

Children interested in studying medical sciences are invited
to apply for enrollment at Poinciana Park Elementary School,
the district's newest "School of Choice," which offers a
rigorous curriculum focusing on math, science and technology
in health-related fields.
The school, which is partnered with the Department of Sports
Medicine at the University of Miami, houses a
state-of-the-art science lab, conducts medical-related field
trips and hosts guest speakers. The curriculum is
implemented at all grade levels. Its structure allows
students to incorporate an inquiry-based approach with
higher order thinking skills.
The school is located at 6745 N.W. 23 Ave. Parents
