KEY BISCAYNE VOLUNTEER WINS STATE AWARD

Donna Rice, a volunteer at Key Biscayne K-8 Center, was named Florida Outstanding School Volunteer for Miami-Dade County. She will be honored at the Florida Outstanding School Volunteer Awards luncheon on April 20 at the Airport Marriott Hotel in Orlando.

Rice has been a volunteer for seven years and averages 30 service hours per week. She has been instrumental in implementing various school-wide programs, including the Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Program and the Science Enrichment Outreach Program.
