WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED TO ASSIST WITH SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT
EFFORTS
March 19, 2004
To help parents and other citizens learn more about the
school improvement process, Miami-Dade County Public Schools
will host a series of workshops. Participants will learn how
to get involved in the decision-making process at their
school, with the goal of improving student achievement.
March workshops are scheduled as follows:
Tuesday,
March 23, 7-8 p.m.
Coral Gables Senior High, 450 Bird Rd., Coral Gables
Wednesday,
March 24, 7-8 p.m.
Miami Carol City Senior High, 3422 N.W. 187th St.,
Opa-locka
Wednesday,
March 24, 7-8 p.m.
Miami Southridge Senior High, 19355 S.W. 114th Ave.,
Miami
April and May
workshops will be scheduled in other Miami-Dade communities.
The workshops will be conducted by staff from the Office of
Performance Improvement, Division of School Quality
Improvement. These sessions will help participants develop
an understanding of the role of school Educational
Excellence School Advisory Councils (EESAC) and provide an
awareness of the school improvement process. For more
