M-DCPS LOOKING FOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ZONE TEACHERS

MIAMI &endash;Teachers and other professionals looking for rewarding, challenging careers have a new opportunity: Miami-Dade's School Improvement Zone.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools will hold an open house for Zone candidates Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at the Radisson Mart Convention Center, located at 777 N.W. 72nd Ave., East Hall.

The School Improvement Zone is a group of 39 low performing schools that practice an innovative educational approach to promote high achievement and eliminate low student performance.

Those considering teaching in the Zone can explore employment opportunities and other important information. Zone teachers will use the latest teaching techniques, work with master teachers, implement consistent curriculum and receive a salary incentive.
