PARENTS CAN MAXIMIZE THEIR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES AT PARENT CONFERENCE, JANUARY 20 MIAMI – Parents will have the opportunity to learn how to maximize their children’s education opportunities at Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Parent Conference, to be held Saturday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 3974 NW South River Drive, Miami. The Parent Conference is presented by the District’s Division of Advanced Academic Programs. Conference sessions will include: • Advanced Academic Programs • Advanced Placement: The Road to College Success • Understanding and Supporting the Complexity of the Gifted Child • Seven Steps to Successful Student Achievement • Conference Overview in Spanish and Haitian-Creole Registration for the event begins at 8:30 a.m. Transportation to the conference will be available from selected high schools.
