SIX FINALISTS VIE FOR MIAMI-DADE’S TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ most outstanding teacher will be named at the annual Francisco R. Walker Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Ceremony at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30 at the Sheraton Miami Mart, 711 NW 72 Avenue, Miami.

The nominees, the grades or subjects they teach, and respective schools are as follows:

The banquet is a joint venture between Miami-Dade County Public Schools, United Teachers of Dade, and the Dade County Council PTA/PTSA. UnitedHealthcare is the presenting sponsor for the event. Co-sponsors include Expressway Toyota, Nova Southeastern University, and Univision 23/Telefutura 69.
