TWO MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE NATIONAL HONORS FOR LEADING THE CHARGE FOR HEALTHY SCHOOLS The Alliance for a Healthier Generation Healthy Schools Program will honor two Miami-Dade public schools with the “Healthy Schools Program’s Recognition Award.” South Hialeah Elementary School and Miami Springs Middle School will be honored during the Healthy Schools Forum on August 6, in Little Rock, Ark. at the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library. South Hialeah Elementary and Miami Springs Middle were chosen out of 230 schools nationally to perform at a high level in implementing the Healthy Schools program. The Alliance for a Healthier Generation was created by the American Heart Association and the William J.
