FIVE MIAMI-DADE EDUCATORS WIN FLORIDA OUTSTANDING PRINCIPAL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
MIAMI – Five Miami-Dade educators won top honors at the 2007 Principal Achievement Awards for Outstanding Leadership during the Fourth Annual Commissioner’s Summit for Principals in Orlando last night. The event was hosted by the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Association of School Administrators.
Awards were presented to a principal and an assistant principal in each of three categories: elementary, middle and high school. Of those six awards, five were won by Miami-Dade educators, an unprecedented achievement by Miami-Dade’s school leaders.
The awardees and the schools they represented are:

The Principal Achievement Awards for Outstanding Leadership honor principals and assistant principals who have spearheaded initiatives to increase student performance, promote safe learning environments, and establish partnerships with parents and community members.
