MIAMI-DADE STUDENTS HONORED WITH ART, CREATIVE WRITING EXHIBIT
AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
MIAMI – Art work and creative writing samples of 12 current Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ students and 14 recent graduates are on display at the US Department of Education (U.S.D.O.E) in Washington, D.C. The exhibition opened last week and will be on display through November 5.
The U.S.D.O.E and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the work of selected national award recipients of The Scholastic Art& Writing Awards of 2007, and selected Gold Key recipients from Miami-Dade County. Participating in the event were Michael Bell, Assistant Superintendent, Specialized Programs, Curriculum and Instruction; Mabel Morales, District Art Supervisor; and Guillermo Muñoz, Principal, School for Advanced Studies.
