D.A. DORSEY ED. CENTER TO RECEIVE $10K GRANT FROM WALMART

WHO:

Faculty and staff of D.A. Dorsey Educational Center, Representatives from the Walmart Foundation and the Office of County Mayor Carlos Alvarez; Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials

WHAT:
The Walmart Foundation will present a $10,000 grant check to Dr. Dennis Jackson, a teacher in D.A. Dorsey’s landscape program. Ninety percent of the funds will be dedicated to scholarships for vocational students in the landscaping program. The remaining 10 percent will be used for program supplies.
