|
WHAT: |
“National Teen Driver Safety Week” |
WHEN: |

9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. |
| WHERE: |
South Miami Senior High School
6856 S.W. 53rd Rd.,

|
WHY: |
This event centers on a first-ever “Interactive Lesson Plan” that involves South Miami High School’s television production department and more than 180 high school seniors. Student journalists will document student reaction on teen driver safety after viewing a vehicle that was totally demolished in a car crash. The event aims to encourage teens to openly discuss why car crashes have become the number one killer among young drivers (mainly ages 16 to 24) in the United States. |
Editors Note: Representatives from State Farm, M-DCPS, and the Florida Highway Patrol will be available for English/Spanish interviews and to discuss this program.
