Superintendent Crew will host a roundtable discussion with NFL players on the importance of academics.

Athletic achievement is what usually gets them noticed, but it is the NFL players’ academic achievement that has paved the way for success both on and off the field.

NFL players have a 100 percent high school graduation rate.  In addition, the NFL has one of the highest post-secondary graduation rates in the world with 50 percent of its players earning a college degree.  The college graduation rate for the United States is 39 percent.

These NFL pros are sharing their stories about the life changing impact of education as they discuss why participation in athletics can build skills and characteristics that enhance academic achievement.  Hear about the important link between competition and education in instilling the qualities of self-confidence in their own athletic abilities, hard work, and ambition.
