Superintendent Available to Comment on

Kickoff of the It Takes… Campaign

Superintendent Rudy Crew will be joined by student entrepreneur Weina Scott, a senior at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School, at 11:45 a.m., Thursday, February 8, to introduce the first public component of the It Takes… campaign.  A wallscape featuring Scott will be seen for the first time at the School Board Administration Building, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami, FL  33132. 

Public education—or in the more poetic words of the District’s slogan, Giving Our Students the World—is a matter of give and take. It is matter of the District striking a bargain with its stakeholders, and vice-versa.
 
For M-DCPS to give our students the world, it takes a particular something from everyone who has a stake in the education of our children and in a comfortable quality of life for everyone in the community. It takes commitment. It takes collaboration. It takes creativity. It takes curiosity.
 
The District expects more than 100,000 daily motorists to have the opportunity to see the wallscapes.
