Cuban Independence Day Celebration

All of Milam’s K-8 grade students will act in skits, sing and perform the music of Cuba, as well as dance danzónes and other typical Cuban dances

The school’s annual event commemorates May 20, 1902, when Cuba gained its independence from Spain. Milam’s students will celebrate Cuban heritage and the strong historical ties between Cuba and the United States with music and dance.
