CHECK PRESENTED TO SUCCESS ACADEMY ‘GRADUATES’ MIAMI – Students at Homestead Senior High School were surprised on May 20th with an oversized check for their participation in the Superintendent’s Success Academy tutoring initiative, which helped students in struggling schools prepare for the state exam. The students earned money for attending each tutoring session. The check for the Homestead’s total participation was $90,780. Each student’s share will be calculated and put in a bank account that has been set up for them.
