WHY: |
The Rainbow Crusaders, along with program director and founder William "Popsie" Thompson, will kick-off the Black History Month. The group teaches children to reach life's high notes through music, not drugs. Interracial harmony is stressed. Children are encouraged to be positive, and to stay away from negative people, get good grades and stay in school. Members of the Rainbow Crusaders range in age from 3 to 20 years-old. There are three requirements to be a member of the group: good behavior, at least a C average in school, and staying drug-free.
