WHY: |
Miami Lakes Middle School’s Homeless for the Night event is being held to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless. Principal Manuel Sanchez, assistant principals and teachers will spend the night in boxes in front of the school to advocate for the homeless. In addition, representatives from Camillus House will speak, and art and poems prepared by Miami Lakes Middle School students will be on display.
