MIAMI-DADE SCHOOL DISTRICT CONGRATULATES FINALISTS FOR THE
2011-2012 PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR AWARD
Miami-Dade County Public Schools announced the six finalists for the District’s 2011-2012 Principal of the Year. The winner and the runner-up will by chosen by a panel of judges and announced at a Dade Association of School Administrators’ recognition ceremony on April 5th at Jungle Island.
The Principal of the Year finalists, their schools and region designation are as follows:
- Agenoria T. Powell - Linda Lentin K-8 Center - North Region
- Julian Gibbs - Henry E.S. Reeves Elementary - North Central Region
- Alicia Hidalgo - South Dade Senior High School - South Region
- Maria F. Nuñez - Coral Park Elementary School - South Central Region
- Dr. Pablo Ortiz - Miami Edison Senior High School - Education Transformation Office
- Dr. Dulce Maria De Villa - The English Center - Adult/Vocational/Alternative Education
