MIAMI JACKSON SENIOR HIGH RECEIVES SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
GRADE OF ‘A’ FROM FLDOE

Miami Jackson Senior High School was granted an appeal from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), which changed its school performance grade from a “B” to an “A”.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) entered the appeal when Miami Jackson’s dual enrollment course offerings were not entered into the calculations for the school performance grade because the courses were taken at non-public colleges. After reviewing and verifying the dual enrollment course offerings, the FLDOE recalculated the school performance grade to an “A”.

M-DCPS outperformed the state in the percentage of high schools with performance grades of “A”, according to data by FLDOE.
