M-DCPS STUDENTS PARTICPATE IN YOUNGARTS MIAMI

Student artists from the Miami area will participate in the YoungArts Miami program from February 22-26, which culminates with a finale of dance, theater and visual arts performances by the students on February 26th. In addition, the masters working with the students, including Mikhail Baryshnikov and Roberto Juarez, will be present.

YoungArts Miami is the first regional program of the national YoungArts program. YoungArts has provided young artists a forum to showcase and cultivate their talents through professional and educational development for more than 30 years. The program has a long-standing reputation for mentoring the nation’s most talented artists in the visual, literary and performing arts.

YoungArts Miami supports young artists through master classes, scholarship opportunities, performances and exhibitions. This year, 57 of the national 597 YoungArts winners were from the Miami area.
