The OceanGate Foundation, a leader in providing ocean expedition and technology experiences for young people, will visit MAST Academy to provide students hands-on experiences with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and submersibles used in ocean exploration.
Submersible pilot presentations, tours and ROV demonstrations begin poolside Monday at 9 a.m. Students from engineering, Coast Guard JROTC, and Marine Science will rotate through the presentation areas, assisted by cadets from the United States Coast Guard Academy (New London, CT).
MAST Academy is the only maritime and science technology high school in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
