M-DCPS STUDENT FINALIST FOR $20,000 NATIONAL PRIZE

Miguel Arango of John A. Ferguson Senior High School is one of 10 finalists in the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge. The national challenge is part of a comprehensive program that educates teens about ways to avoid distractions while driving and promotes safe driving skills.

The finalists were selected based on their video productions that showcased creative and thought-provoking ways to become a safe teen driver. The final 10 teens are vying for $20,000 in prize money. The remaining nine finalists will receive $1,500. The winner will be chosen through online voting for the finalist’s video. Voting is open until April 17. There is one vote per person per day allowed for each finalist.
