WHY: |
This is an end-of-the-year showcase of the conservatory’s 6-9 grade student performances and artwork. The performance will feature the following magnet strands: Concert Band, Theatre, Orchestra, Dance, Chorus, Broadcasting. There will be artwork in the lobby by visual artists, as well as a poetry display from creative writing students. The performance name “Evolution” showcases the transition the school has made from Mays Middle School to the Arthur & Polly Mays 6-12 Conservatory of the Arts.
All proceeds will go towards program enrichment. The school has a partnership with the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, which facilitates the usage of Gusman Hall. The pre-sale price of $10 includes roundtrip transportation from Arthur & Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts to Gusman Hall. Tickets are $20 at the door. Parking is available only in the Maurice Gusman Center Hall Parking Lot.
