M-DCPS AWARDED THE CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT IN FINANCIAL REPORTING MIAMI—Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). M-DCPS is being recognized for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). M-DCPS has received this honor for 26 consecutive years making it one of the longest stretches of awards for any municipality or school district in the nation. The Award of Financial Reporting Achievement was presented to the District’s Office of the Controller, under the leadership of Controller Connie Pou. An impartial panel oversees the selection of the CAFR winners. Recipients must meet high standards, which include the ability to effectively communicate the organization’s financial forecast and to interest future users to read the CAFR. ### 12/JS/386/DF |
