SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS ALBERTO M. CARVALHO TO BE FEATURED SPEAKER AT FLORIDA EDUCATION SUMMIT, MAY 29

Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho will be a featured speaker at the Third Annual Florida’s Education Summit to be held in Orlando on Tuesday, May 29. The Florida Sterling Council, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education, is hosting this event to bring together superintendents, principals, teachers, association leaders, school board members and the business community to expand and capitalize on what’s working well in education.  Mr. Carvalho’s topic will be “Rescuing Public Schools.”

Established in 1992, the Florida Sterling Council is a public/private not-for-profit corporation supported by the Executive Office of the Governor. It is comprised of public and private sector members. The Council is led by the Executive Committee, which oversees the Governor's Sterling Award for Performance Excellence and all Sterling process activities, including the annual Sterling conference.
