Daniela Peláez was at risk of deportation prior to her classmates seeking assistance from authorities, which allowed her to graduate and deliver the 2012 Farewell Address. North Miami Senior High was the last of 49 graduations held at Miami Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) for the 2011-2012 school year.
