Children of Miami-Dade County and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) Department of Food and Nutrition.

The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition’s Food Truck will be serving free, fresh healthy meals to children at 10 locations throughout the District.  The food truck is a collaboration between the M-DCPS Department of Food and Nutrition, and a Jennie O Turkey Store, Schwan’s Foodservice, Pero Family Farms, The Produce Connection, AdvancePierre Foods, Tasty Brands Foods, McCain Foods, Ridgefield’s Brands, JTM Foods, Pro View Foods and Asian Food Solutions.

The idea is to get free food to kids who get it in school during the school year, but don’t necessarily have access to healthy, well-balanced meals in the summer.  Like any food truck in Miami, the food will be prepared fresh on the truck and served to any child under the age of 18, free of charge.
