TERRA ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE WINS ONE-OF-FIVE $10K GRANTS FROM SINGER TAYLOR SWIFT, CHEGG

TERRA Environmental Research Institute was one of five educational institutions nationwide to win a $10,000 grant from singer/songwriter Taylor Swift and Chegg, an online textbook rental company in the U.S.

More than 14,000 schools competed for a chance to win a grant. The contest was open to accredited colleges and high schools in the 48 contiguous states.  For over a month, students voted for their school. The top five schools with the most votes at the end of the contest each received a $10,000 grant for their music department from Taylor Swift and Chegg’s philanthropic program, Chegg for Good.

The top vote-getter also won a concert by Swift on their campus. Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif., won the prize.

Chegg for Good is about empowering students to be a catalyst for change on their campus, in their communities, and around the world.
