DEVRY UNIVERSITY TO HOST MDCPS’ ACADEMY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS AT ‘I AM C2– COLLEGE AND CAREER READY’ EVENT, DEC. 14

WHY:

This is part of an ongoing effort to give Academy students an insight into the importance of a college education, while sharing information about courses of study available at DeVry University and the careers they lead to, along with guidance on internship and career readiness. 

This will be the second of a two-part visit from Miami-Dade students in Academy programs to DeVry University. It is funded through a $5,000 grant from the National Academy Foundation and the Academy of Information Technology Advisory Board.  The program includes:

    • A discussion on current trends in the IT industry
    • Various interactive demonstrations on multimedia technology, computer programming, and hardware/software programming
    • Meeting Academy of Information Technology board members
    • Presentation on obtaining a successful internship, succeeding in college.
